Communication is vital for any relationship. We need to learn to express our hearts and learn to listen deeply to the heart of the other person. This is also true in our relationship with God.
Friday night, Feb.17, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday morning, Feb. 18, from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., we will hold a time of learning to grow in speaking with and listening to God in prayer at the church building (room TBD). We will rehearse the fundamentals of prayer: what it is, how to pray, when to pray. We will also include activities that will help us learn to deepen our prayer lives like learning about prayer journals, praying for missionaries, intercession, and how to structure longer periods of prayer.
This retreat is open to everyone and anyone (high school students to senior saints). Those newer to prayer will not be pressured to pray out loud but will be brought into a deeper understanding and practice of this important spiritual discipline. Those who are old vets will be encouraged to stretch through some activities and challenges along the way that, while not crazy, will encourage you to take the next step as a person of prayer.
In order to determine what room size we need, how many snacks to get (yes, there will be food!) and how many materials to have available, we need to know how many people to prepare for. If you'd like to join us, please register by Feb. 14. To register, please click here.
