VBS- Sonquest Rainforest Join us for a great time of learning about the stories that Jesus told. We will play games, sing songs, hear the stories told, make crafts, and many other exciting things during VBS this year. Come here Jesus' parables and share in the fun June 21-25 at 6:15 each night. VBS is for all kids ages 3-5th grade. Come pre-register in the gathering area at church on June 6, 13, and 20. See you there!
Dear Family, We are so glad to have your child at Fern Creek Christian Church. We are also glad to partner with you to help your child learn that Jesus is the Son of God. Spring is a time to celebrate new life. We want to help your child praise Jesus and celebrate the truth of His resurrection. It's also important for children to learn at an early age that Jesus is the Son of God. Together we will celebrate all that God has done for us. One way for children to learn about God is by memorizing portions of God's Word. The following is a Bible Memory Verse. Encourage your child to learn this Bible verse:
"Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God..." (John 20:31a)

White Mills Christian Camp It's time for camp registration. Camp is one of the most fundamental things that we are a part of each year. It's a time where kids have more contact with peers and learn more about the Bible in a short amount of time. It is an amazing and transformational time in many kids' lives. We very strongly encourage your children to be a part of what goes on at camp for their age this year. Please don't let finances be an issue for why your child does not go to camp. Please contact Jonathon Barnes if you need financial assistance. The weeks are decided by the grade that your child is completing, and below are the weeks of camp that we are promoting and will be attending this summer... Day Camp (4-5 yrs old): June 19 Overnighter (1st Grade): July 9-10 Jiffy Junior (2nd-3rd Grade): July 18-21 Junior (4th-5th Grade): July 25-30
Crafts Need to Go Home Please make sure that you are
taking your child's crafts and papers home. Those are things that the
kids have worked hard on and some of them are designed for you to engage
with your kids when you are going through life during the week. Papers
that are left here are thrown away, and we would much rather them go
home and be enjoyed.
Little Angels Choir This is
our preschool aged choir. They practice on Wednesday nights as a part of
our Wednesday programming for their age. If you are interested, please
bring your preschool aged children to church at 6:30 on Wednesday
nights.
Children's Ministry at Fern Creek exists to help parents teach their children about Jesus and grow in His love. During each service (Sunday morning and Wednesday evening) we offer a place for Children to learn about Jesus in a setting that is designed for them.
Sunday School At 9:15 a.m., kindergarten-2nd graders meet for Junior Worship, a time of praise and learning. At 10:45 a.m., kindergarten-2nd graders have Sunday School classes, meeting in classes in our children's wing.
At 9:15 a.m., 3rd-5th graders meet for Sunday School, also in graded classes. During the 10:45 service, 3rd-5th graders have their time of Junior Worship, a high energy hour of praise and small group study.
During both services, newborn through pre-kindergarten meet for a time of Bible lesson, craft, activities, and praise music.
Bible Blitz
This is our new programming for K-5th grade that will began on August 22. It will be a place to connect to God and HIS family. Elementary kids are coming together for a time of learning about God and the Bible. It will be a time where kids are able to connect with other kids and study the Bible in a real way. There will be questions that kids work on during the week, and tons of cool games. We are focusing on the basics so that we can grow spiritual champions starting with our children.
Mission Friends
This is our preschool activity for Wednesday nights. It is a time of crafts, music, and a Bible lesson. The children who participate in the Wednesday night music are a part of the Little Angels Choir, which sings at the Christmas program and on occasional Sunday mornings throughout the year.
A nursery is provided, with loving care for the youngest children.
Other Opportunities Fern Creek also has a Kidz Choir and a children's bell choir. For more information about music, contact PJ Hardin.
Our Children's Ministry also provides a number of special programs to help our kids connect with each other, and to help us reach out to the families in our community. These include Vacation Bible School and attending
White Mills Christian Camp in the summer; church-wide skating parties, retreats, and overnighters; and other activities throughout the year like HOLIDAY WORLD!
